WEBCAST APR 16 – Digital Transformation and Meaningful Connectivity in the BRICS
On Wednesday April 16, 2025, at 10:00-12:00 BRT (13:00-15:00 UTC) the Center for Technology and Society at FGV (CTS-FGV), the Brazilian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Brazilian Ministry for Communications, Cetic.br, and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), will jointly organize a webinar entitled ‘Digital Transformation and Meaningful Connectivity in the BRICS‘. The webinar part of a series of webinars dedicated to Digital Policies in the BRICS, to stimulate multistakeholder debates on key digital issues in preparation for the BRICS Summit, to be held under the Brazilian Presidency in July.
The goal of the webinar is to provide an understanding of i) what is the relationship between meaningful connectivity and digital transformation, ii) and what success stories or failures can be learned from the BRICS experiences, in order to better inform other countries’ approaches to digital transformation, especially in the Global South.
