  WEBCAST APR 29-30 – NETmundial+10 meeting 

  On Monday-Tuesday April 29-30 2024 CGI.br will host NETmundial+10 meeting in São Paulo, Brazil. The NETmundial+10 meeting will deliver an outcome document, reaffirming the continued relevance of the 10 principles for Internet governance processes adopted in NETmundial in 2014, offering operational guidelines to help the implementation of these principles in a diversity of situations, and providing input into ongoing processes regarding the evolution of the governance architecture for digital issues.

  WEBCAST: Seminar on Cryptography, Politics and Fundamental Rights / Seminário Criptografia, Política e Direitos Fundamentais

  On Thursday 5 August 2021 from 10am-3:30pm BRT (13:00-18:30 UTC) the Recife Law and Technology Research Institute will convene the 2nd ‘Seminar on Cryptography, Politics and Fundamental Rights‘. The challenges that the full employment of cryptography face in Brazil and in the world are continuous. Among proposals for filtering communications content, weakening cryptography for access to communications by investigative authorities, and making it mandatory for providers to employ message traceability mechanisms, the risks that the security of connected infrastructures and users’ rights face are varied. In order to map these policies, the contexts from which they arise and the challenges they potentially offer, we will bring together panelists from different regions of the world – Asia, Europe and the Americas – as well as researchers and Brazilian police representatives. The event is part of the schedule of #CriptoAgosto2021 and has the support of the Internet Society, Internet Society – Brazil Chapter, and Coalizão Direitos na Rede. EN/PT interpretation will be provided.

São contínuos os desafios que o pleno emprego da criptografia enfrenta no Brasil e no mundo. Entre propostas de filtragem de conteúdos de comunicações, enfraquecimento da criptografia para acesso a comunicações por autoridades investigativas e obrigatoriedade para que provedores empreguem mecanismos de rastreabilidade de mensagens, são variados os riscos que a segurança das infraestruturas conectadas e os direitos dos usuários enfrentam. Com a finalidade de mapear essas políticas, os contextos de onde surgem e os desafios que potencialmente oferecem, reuniremos painelistas de variadas regiões do mundo – Ásia, Europa e Américas – além de pesquisadores e representações policiais brasileiras. O evento faz parte da programação do #CriptoAgosto2021 e conta com o apoio da Internet Society, Internet Society – Brazil Chapter, e Coalizão Direitos na Rede. Será fornecida interpretação EN / PT.

  WEBCAST TODAY: INET São Paulo, Brazil #inetsaopaolo 

  Today, Friday November 28 2014 the Internet Society will present a full day conference INET São Paulo, Brazil. INET São Paulo aims to bring together regional community expertise on Internet Governance to leverage local awareness on policy mechanisms and technical issues that are key for the future of the Internet. Brazil has been in the core of Global Internet Governance discussions and is a promising location to nurture a multi-stakeholder debate. Moreover, the event will be co-located together with the 4th NIC.br’s Internet Infrastructure Week and  the 5th Privacy and Data Protection Seminar. Remote participation is available via webex, and the event will be webcast live via the Internet Society Livestream Channel. São Paulo is 3 hours ahead of NYC.
