On August 18-20 2026 the African IXP Association (AFIX), in partnership with the Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA) held the 15th annual African Peering & Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) in Kigali, Rwanda.

An open and inclusive forum, AfPIF focuses on developing Internet interconnection and traffic exchange opportunities by bringing together key players – infrastructure providers, Internet service providers (ISPs), Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), content producers and providers, data center operators, policy-makers and regulators, to advance the peering ecosystem in Africa.

AfPIF aims to promote the development of national and cross border interconnection and offers the African technical community a unique opportunity to showcase interconnection challenges and opportunities.

Du 18 au 20 août 2026, l’African IXP Association (AFIX), en partenariat avec la Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA), organisera la 15e édition annuelle du Forum africain de peering et d’interconnexion (AfPIF) à Kigali, au Rwanda.

Forum ouvert et inclusif, l’AfPIF vise à développer les opportunités d’interconnexion Internet et d’échange de trafic en rassemblant les acteurs clés du secteur — fournisseurs d’infrastructures, fournisseurs d’accès à Internet (FAI), points d’échange Internet (IXP), producteurs et fournisseurs de contenu, opérateurs de centres de données, décideurs politiques et régulateurs — afin de faire progresser l’écosystème du peering en Afrique.

L’AfPIF a pour objectif de promouvoir le développement de l’interconnexion, tant au niveau national que transfrontalier, et offre à la communauté technique africaine une occasion unique de mettre en lumière les défis et les opportunités liés à l’interconnexion.

On  16 June 2026, the TREX Regional Exchanges hosted ‘nog.fi meeting 2026.06‘ in Tampere, bringing together operators, researchers, regulators, infrastructure providers, and network automation practitioners for a day of highly operational discussions spanning routing security, IPv6-centric architecture, DNS resilience, subsea infrastructure, AI-driven tooling, and European telecom policy. The event emphasized practical engineering experience, operational resilience, and community collaboration across the Nordic and broader European Internet ecosystem.

WEBCAST JUN 27: West Africa Peering Forum | Forum sur le peering et l’interconnexion en Afrique de l’Ouest 2023

On Tuesday June 27 2023 at 12:00-14:30 UTC the West Africa Peering Forum (WAPF) will be held online. WAPF is an annual event that brings together Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Content Providers (CPs), and other stakeholders in the telecommunications industry to discuss issues related to Internet interconnection and peering in West Africa. The event is organized by the West Africa Peering community in partnership with the Internet Society (ISOC) and other organizations.

WEBCAST APR 26-27 – Central Africa Peering Forum 2023 / EN DIRECT 26-27 AVR – Forum sur le peering en Afrique centrale 2023

The fourth edition of the Central Africa Peering Forum (CAPF) 2023 will be held in Brazzaville, Congo, from 26-27 Apr 2023, alongside OSIANE.

Since its inception in 2020, CAPF has been attracting various players of the peering and interconnection ecosystem from the Central Africa subregion and beyond. The unique platform of this event acts as an enabler for the local players to network and exchange ideas and best practices, as well as for key players in the telecommunication and Internet sectors. These include, but are not limited to mobile operators, ISPs, IXPs, regulatory authorities, government agencies, content creators, developers and distributors, etc.

This event is supported by the Internet Society and OSIANE.

La 4eme édition du FPAC se tiendra en présentiel à Brazzaville en République du Congo du 26-27 avril 2023 en marge du Salon OSIANE.

Depuis son lancement en 2020, le forum ne cesse d’attirer différents acteurs de l’écosystème du Peering et de l’Interconnexion tant de la sous-région de l’Afrique Centrale et d’ailleurs. Ce forum, qui est une plateforme unique en son genre, se veut inclusif, mais aussi une plateforme d’échange d’idées et de meilleures pratiques, pour tous les acteurs opérants dans le secteur des télécoms et de l’Internet: opérateurs mobiles, opérateurs de points d’échange Internet (IXP en anglais), opérateurs d’infrastructure de communication et d’hébergement, Fournisseurs d’Accès Internet (FAI), Agences et Autorités de Régulations, Développeurs de contenu digital, etc.

Cet événement est soutenu par l’Internet Society et OSIANE.
