On 21 – 23 August 2024 the 15th Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) will be held as a hybrid event, online and in Taipei, with the overarching theme ‘ Evolving Ecosystems, Enduring Principles: Shaping Responsible Internet Governance‘.
APrIGF serves as a platform for discussion, exchange and collaboration at a regional level, and also where possible to aggregate national IGF discussions, ultimately advance the Internet governance development in the Asia Pacific region.

El miércoles 28 de agosto de 2024 IGF Chile organizó un webinar “Troncales y Última Milla: Los pilares de la conectividad del futuro”. Chile, con su territorio alargado y sus características geográficas únicas, enfrenta desafíos significativos, no solo para mantener redes redundantes, sino también para ofrecer servicios de telecomunicaciones en áreas remotas con escasa densidad poblacional y baja capacidad de pago. El desarrollo de la Última Milla en sectores que aún no tienen redes desplegadas tiene un largo camino por recorrer. Este webinar aborda lo que el país ha logrado y las oportunidades para seguir avanzando en la conexión de los ciudadanos.
