WEBCAST APR 16: Universal Acceptance – What it is and how it relates to digital inclusivity?

On Tuesday April 16 2024 at 5:00pm-6:30pm EDT (21:00-22:30 UTC) American University’s Tech, Law & Security Program, Internet Governance Lab, and Inclusive Tech Policy Initiative host a panel discussion ‘Universal Acceptance – What it is and how it relates to digital inclusivity?’.

Have you ever tried signing up for a website or serve, only to get frustrated because it won’t accept your email or continues to give you an error message? Maybe it has too many character or has symbols that aren’t accepted? Universal Acceptance seeks to solve this problem so that no matter the language. characters, or script, every email address and domain name are accepted without discrimination. An expert panel will discuss this little-known issue that fundamentally impacts the ability for many people to engage online in an authentic and user-friendly manner.
