On Thursday August 13 2020 the African Union Commission (AU), the Internet Society (ISOC), the African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC), and NetHope in collaboration with the African Telecommunications Union (ATU), the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) and Mozilla, presented a webinar ‘The Role of Fibre Optic Backbone Infrastructure in Affordable Access‘. This, the sixth webinar of the African Internet Resilience series, explored developments in fibre optic infrastructure development to date and how fibre optic infrastructure needs to evolve in order to accelerate the growth of affordable broadband on the continent.
Le jeudi 13 août 2020, la Commission de l’Union africaine (UA), l’Internet Society (ISOC), le Centre d’information sur les réseaux africains (AFRINIC) et NetHope en collaboration avec l’Union africaine des télécommunications (ATU), l’Association pour Progressive Communications (APC) et Mozilla ont présenté un webinaire «Le rôle de l’infrastructure dorsale à fibre optique dans un accès abordable». Ce sixième webinaire de la série African Internet Resilience, a exploré les développements dans le développement des infrastructures de fibre optique à ce jour et comment l’infrastructure de fibre optique doit évoluer afin d’accélérer la croissance du haut débit abordable sur le continent.
