On February 8 2017 Stanford Law School hosted Jennifer Granick – Director of Civil Liberties at the Stanford Center for Internet & Society – talking about the themes of her new book American Spies: Modern Surveillance, Why You Should Care, and What To Do About It (Cambridge University Press, 2017). Writing for a general audience, Granick shows how surveillance law has fallen behind as surveillance technology has given American spies vast new powers, and explores various avenues of reform.
