A11yNYC – Accessible Wayfinding Systems will Start a New Era of Accessibility

livestreamOn Tuesday February 2 2020 at 2pm-4pm EST (19:00-21:00 UTC) the Accessibility NYC Meetup (A11yNYC) hosts an online meetup ‘Accessible Wayfinding Systems will Start a New Era of Accessibility‘. Accessible wayfinding systems will become ubiquitous in public spaces by 2025. Different technologies and policies are now being developed to prepare for the next exciting era of accessibility in the built environment. In this lecture, Idan Meir of RightHear will walk us through the opportunities, challenges, and other aspects of the new future of accessibility for people with orientation challenges, including the blind and visually impaired. He’ll also discuss the duties, cost, and operational efforts required towards this future as well as sharing real case-studies from around the world in this field.

The meetup will be webcast live via a partnership with the Internet Society Accessibility SIG.
