WEBCAST TODAY: From Hack to Product Feature – how to leverage R&D at work through hackathons – Roland Dubois @A11yVR @AllySIG @rolanddubois #WebXR #XRAccess #XR #a11y

livestreamOn Thursday July 16 2020 at 7pm EDT / 23:00 UTC / 8am JST (Fri) the Accessibility VR Meetup hosts ‘From Hack to Product Feature – how to leverage R&D at work through hackathons‘ on Mozilla Hubs. Creating open-source projects in hackathons to test the viability of an idea/concept, as well as user-test for accessibility, is a great way for team leaders to empower their employees to grow, take ownership and make better products. Hackathons are naturally competitive and creative environments that are time capped, exerting positive pressure on the participants to deliver results and win prices. Roland Dubois will show  accessible XR concepts that he built at the MIT Reality Hack in January 2020 and how it would convert into a new product feature at the SaaS company. The session will be webcast live via a partnership with the Internet Society Accessibility SIG (A11ySIG).
