The Central Asia region serves as a strategic link between Asia and Europe for terrestrial Internet connectivity. Many international and regional organizations are recognizing the economic and social impact of an improved regional connectivity infrastructure. ISOC has engaged with several high-level stakeholders in the Kyrgyz Republic, including National Institute for Strategic Studies of Kyrgyzstan (NISS), to collaborate on developing the Internet infrastructure in the region leading to this Symposium which has the theme “Perspectives for Internet Development in the Kyrgyz Republic“. Speakers include Frédéric Donck, Director of European Regional Bureau, Internet Society, and Olaf Kolkman, Chief Internet Technology Officer, Internet Society, and Talant Sultanov, Director of NISS.
