livestreamToday Wednesday 10 July 2019 the maiden edition of the Ghana Youth Internet Governance Forum congregates the youth and experts at the Kofi Annan ICT Center in Accra to discuss on the theme “The future of work; Digital Jobs and Youth Inclusion”’

Amidst the advantages associated with emerging technologies like AI and machine learning,there are fears of machines taking over the labour force thereby rendering many qualified persons, jobless. This dialogues will engage stakeholders on gender inequalities and how to provide inclusive participation in the digital community while addressing issues that can better position the youth to prepare for the future of work.

The IGF Sri Lanka reinforces active citizenship in people and participates in the development of intercultural and intergenerational dialogues. The 2017 theme is “Cyber Security & Safer Internet“. The IGF Sri Lanka is hosted by ISOC Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure with support from the Internet Society and the IGFSA and other stakeholders. The event was extended to 3 days this year to include an Accessibilty Forum, a Women IGF, a Youth IGF, as well as workshops in Internet Governance.
