WEBCAST TUE/WED/THU: 2nd Internet Governance Forum in #SriLanka #IGFSriLanka2017 #IGF

LivestreamToday Tuesday May 16 2017 through Thursday May 18 2017 the second Internet Governance Forum Sri Lanka is being held in Colombo. The IGF Sri Lanka reinforces active citizenship in people and participates in the development of intercultural and intergenerational dialogues. The 2017 theme is “Cyber Security & Safer Internet“. The IGF Sri Lanka is hosted by ISOC Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure with support from the Internet Society and the IGFSA and other stakeholders. The event was extended to 3 days this year to include an Accessibilty Forum, a Women IGF, a Youth IGF, as well as workshops in Internet Governance. The event is webcast live via the Internet Society Livestream Channel.

The event brings together bring together over 300 participants from the Government agencies, Internet service providers, mobile operators, academic institution, banks, ICT entrepreneurs, commercial companies and general public. The live webcast is being relayed through and archived at the Internet Society Livestream Channel.

ION Sri LankaToday Sunday, 18 January 2015 the Internet Society’s Deploy 360 Program and Sri Lanka Chapter will present ION Sri Lanka as part of SANOG 25, taking place from 16-24 January 2015 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. ION Conferences bring network engineers and leading industry experts together to discuss emerging technologies including IPv6, DNSSEC, and Securing BGP, and TLS for Applications. Early adopters provide valuable insight into their own deployment experiences and bring participants up to speed on new standards emerging from the IETF. There will be morning and afternoon session, and both will be webcast live via YouTube.
