isoc liveOn Saturday December 10 2022 the Internet Society Kenya Chapter (ISOC Kenya) will hold its 10 Years Anniversary Celebration at the Ngong Hills Hotel in Nairobi. ISOC Kenya Chapter was chartered in 2012 and officially recognized in Kenya in 2015 as a chapter of the Internet Society. As it works to promote the growth, stability, and further development of the Internet in the world we want to live in, the organization has evolved throughout the years into a key player in the Internet sector.

livestreamOn Thursday 2nd July 2020 from 16:00-17:30 EAT (13:00-14:30 UTC) The Internet Society Kenya Chapter will host a webinar ‘Building Community Networks to bridge the Social and Economic Divide‘. There is widespread recognition of the opportunities and potential benefits of expanding access to the Internet, as recognized by the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets. Community networks are increasingly being proposed as a solution to connect the unconnected. This webinar will be facilitated by Miss Irene Misoi, a fellow in the Internet Society Global Volunteer Training Programme, a fellowship engagement and learning programme that focuses on developing new community leaders who can work together with Internet Society to create local awareness on the Internet Society 2020 Action Plan. She will be supported by Kennedy Ronoh and Hawi Rapudo.

livestreamToday Wednesday 1st August 2019 the Kenya Internet Governance Forum (KIGF) will be held on at the Nairobi Sarova Panafric Hotel. The Kenya IGF is an annual meeting that brings together various stakeholder groups to dialogue on ICT and Internet policy. While the discussions give soft policy outcomes, Kenya Internet Governance Forum is a knowledge sharing platform that informs and inspires policy actors in both the public and private sectors. The national forum also feeds into the regional and global Internet Governance Fora through a chain of reporting and representation to the regional and global Internet Governance Fora to ensure a bottom up Internet policy development processes and a strong link between global internet policies and the national one. The event will be webcast live on the Internet Society Livestream Channel.
