ISOC LIOn Monday September 18 2023 at 13:00-14:30 UTC AFCHIX and the Internet Society host the 2023 African Community Networks Summit. This virtual event has the theme ‘Breaking Stereotypes in Community Network Deployments: AFCHIX Experiences in Morocco, Namibia and Kenya’. The session will build on the lived experience of women leaders who have been involved in community networks and bring to light the role that women play in community networks, challenges and more importantly opportunities for change.

Le lundi 18 septembre 2023 de 13h00 à 14h30 UTC, AFCHIX et l’Internet Society organisent le Sommet 2023 des réseaux communautaires africains. Cet événement virtuel a pour thème « Briser les stéréotypes dans les déploiements de réseaux communautaires : expériences AFCHIX au Maroc, en Namibie et au Kenya ». La séance s’appuiera sur l’expérience vécue de femmes leaders impliquées dans des réseaux communautaires et mettra en lumière le rôle que jouent les femmes dans les réseaux communautaires, les défis et, plus important encore, les opportunités de changement.

isoc liveEste taller es un esfuerzo conjunto para crear un repositorio de información y herramientas que facilitará la implementación de redes comunitarias en toda nuestra región.

Vivimos en una era cada vez más digital y, sin embargo, hay muchas comunidades en Latinoamérica y el Caribe que aún carecen de acceso a internet. Las redes comunitarias son una solución vital para este problema, ya que nos permiten acercar el mundo digital a esas comunidades. Este taller es crucial para mejorar y expandir estas redes.

Durante esta sesión interactiva, se discutirán dos preguntas clave:

  • ¿Cuáles son los 3 principales desafíos al implementar una red comunitaria?
  • ¿Qué información o recursos son esenciales para implementar una red comunitaria pero aún no están disponibles o accesibles para nuestra comunidad?

Este workshop é um esforço conjunto para criar um repositório de informações e ferramentas que facilitem a implementação de redes comunitárias em toda a nossa região.

Vivemos em uma era cada vez mais digital e, no entanto, existem muitas comunidades na América Latina e no Caribe que ainda não têm acesso à Internet. As redes comunitárias são uma solução vital para este problema, pois permitem aproximar o mundo digital dessas comunidades. Este workshop é fundamental para melhorar e expandir essas redes.

Durante esta sessão interativa, duas questões-chave serão discutidas:

  • Quais são os 3 principais desafios ao implementar uma rede comunitária?
  • Quais informações ou recursos são essenciais para implementar uma rede comunitária, mas ainda não estão disponíveis ou acessíveis à nossa comunidade?
