On  11 May 2026, the Global Cyber Alliance and eco’s topDNS Initiative hosted a joint webinar ‘topDNS Best Practice Series: Beyond the Perimeter – Managing Internet Routing as a Supply Chain Risk‘. This 12th topDNS session explores why Internet routing is a critical — and often overlooked — supply chain dependency across the enterprise networking environments: SD-WAN, cloud, CDN, and customer access. It also examined why this risk persists today, what is missing from current enterprise security and procurement practices, and how leading enterprises are beginning to define clearer expectations for the providers they rely on.

SPEAKERS
Andrei Robachevsky – Technical Director, Internet Integrity program, Global Cyber Alliance
Matthew Davy – Chief Network Architect, Visa

HOST
Lars Steffen – Director International, eco – Association of the Internet Industry

POSTPONED – Data Governance in the Internet’s Operational Institutional Complex

ISOC LIVE

ISOC LIVE

** THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED **

On Monday May 15 2023 at 17:00-18:00 BST (16:00-17:00 UTC) the Internet Society UK England Chapter presents a talk ‘Data Governance in the Internet’s Operational Institutional Complex’ at the London School Of Economics.

Internet governance often focuses on the institutional and policy implications of well known organizations such as ICANN and the IGF. While these organizations are significant, there is a much broader landscape of operational institutions that contribute to the day-to-day operations, security, and stability of the Internet’s infrastructure, what is referred to here as the operational institutional complex. In this talk, Jesse will present the important role of these operational institutions through the lens of data governance, highlighting the formal and informal information, data, and knowledge sharing relationships at play in day-to-day operations. To illustrate the importance of these organizations’ data governance relationships, Jesse Sowell will illustrate these concepts by highlighting two efforts to formalize data governance relationships: ISOC’s MANRS project and ICANN’s KINDNS project.

SPEAKER
Dr. Jesse Sowell, Lecturer in Internet Governance and Policy, Department of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Public Policy (STEaPP), University College London (UCL)

WEBCAST JUL 4-7 – RPKI Week 2022

isoc.live

isoc.liveOn 4-7 July 2022 the Internet Society will host RPKI Week 2022 to highlight the importance of Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) and encourage network operators to take concrete steps to improve routing security.

RPKI helps prevent Internet routing incidents like prefix hijacking and route leaks. It allows an entity to cryptographically verify that an autonomous system (AS) is authorized to originate a prefix, thus reducing incidents that can lead to DDoS attacks, traffic inspection, lost revenue, reputational damage, and more.

We will bring together partners from across the Internet routing ecosystem to launch tools, provide educational materials, and facilitate discussion and build awareness about routing security.

SCHEDULE
4th July 1300-1500 UTC – RPKI and IRR Explorer Tutorial #1
