livestream.Today, Tuesday November 7 2017, the Internet Society’s European Regional Bureau, CEPS, and the Committee of the Regions are hosting the Europe Regional Internet and Development Dialogue 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. The theme is ‘Will the Internet Benefit All Europeans?’. The Internet is transforming Europe’s rich cities. The metropolises benefit from high speed connections and are the site of most start-ups and new tech jobs. But what are the consequences of this transformation? And what will happen to less populated regions and disadvantaged urban fringes? Speakers include MEP Michal Boni and Vint Cerf. The day-long event will be webcast via the Internet Society Livestream Channel. Brussels is UTC+1 = 6 hours ahead of NYC

WEBCAST MON/TUE: African Regional Internet and Development Dialogue (#RIDD 2017)

Livestream On Monday/Tuesday May 8-9 2017 the Internet Society’s Africa Bureau will host the African Regional Internet and Development Dialogue (RIDD 2017) in Kigali, Rwanda. The conference has the theme – Enhancing Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Education in Africa through the Internet – and is part of the global series of Internet Development conferences organized by the Internet Society with the aim of supporting the implementation of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference will offer open high-level discussions addressing the following dimensions: Internet and SDGs; Connecting the Next Billion; African Internet Economy; Opportunities for Africa’s education. The plenary sessions will be webcast live via the Internet Society Livestream Channel. Kigali is UTC+2 – 6 hours ahead of NYC.
