Presenters Karen Rose, former Senior Director of Strategic Development and Business Planning at the Internet Society, and Michuki Mwangi, Regional Development Manager for Africa at the Internet Society provide a snapshot history of the growth of this event that addresses the key interconnection, peering, and traffic exchange opportunities and challenges on the continent.

This discussion is the third in a series of events and papers NDN/NPI has held in recent weeks on global telecom .  The first event focused on the employment impact of the move from 2G to 3G and on to 4G.  The second took an in-depth look at the explosion of mobile technology and featured former FCC Chairman Reed Hundt and the State Department’s Suzanne Hall.
