ta3mTonight, Monday November 18 2013, OpenCUNY will again host the OpenITP Techno-Activism Third Monday at CUNY Graduate Center NYC. This month’s event is a hands-on TOR workshop lead by George Rosamond. Bring your laptop and learn how to use the most popular anonymity tool in the world, Tor. This interactive workshop will take you from square one with Tor, to becoming a regular user, comfortable with going beyond the basics. For more technical users familiar with Tor, come prepared to help others join the world of online anonymity.

Jacob Appelbaum, a core developer of the Tor Project, is the co-author, along with Julian Assange, of the 2012 book Cypherpunks: Freedom and the Future of the Internet. On December 27 2012 Jacob was the keynote speaker at the 29th Chaos Communication Congress (29C3) in Hamburg, Germany, themed “Not My Department”.
