Tim Wu’s new book “The Master Switch: The Rise and Fall of Information Empires” is out now. In the book Wu extends his Net Neutrality arguments to their logical conclusion – that a “Separations Principle” is necessary to preserve communication freedoms.

Join Slate and the New America Foundation on Friday, April 2, for a conversation with Slate‘s Farhad Manjoo and Tim Wu and New America’s Sascha Meinrath and Nicholas Thompson about the sorry state of American mobile technology.

The panel discussion, “Can You Hear Me Now? Why Your Cell Phone Is So Terrible,” will take place at the New America Foundation, 1899 L St. NW, Suite 400, Washington, D.C., at 10 a.m. on April 2.  (If you can’t be there in person, Slate and New America will be streaming the “Can You Hear Me Now” event live.)
