On Friday 28 November the DiploFoundation‘s monthly Internet Governance webinar featuring Samantha Dickinson speaking on Outcomes of the ITU’s Plenipotentiary Conference. Ms Dickinson examined specifically:

  • What are the main updates to the top four Internet-related resolutions?
  • This was the first major ITU conference since the Snowden revelations – what impact did the revelations have on the negotiations and final versions of the new resolutions?
  • Were there any significant changes to the positions of Member States with regard to multistakeholder or intergovernmental models for IG?
  • What were the tensions and nuances during the negotiations?

isoc connectToday Tuesday October 7 2014 at 9am EDT the Internet Society will hold a Community Forum: ITU Plenipot & beyond – an open dialogue about an over the horizon view of the current Internet Governance landscape. Hosts will be , ISOC CEO Kathy Brown and Vice President for Public Policy Sally Wentworth. This will be an opportunity to ask questions and share your local perspective as we get ready for the 2014 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference which will be held on 20 October – 07 November in Busan, South Korea. The Forum is open to all Internet Society members, who can interact via webcast, livestream chat, webex, and twitter – all via the ISOC Connect platform.
