  WEBCAST JUL 25 – ICANN80 Ghana Readout virtual meeting 

  On Thursday, 25th July 2024, at 18:30–20:00 UTC, the Ghana Domain Name Registry (GDNR), the E-Governance/Internet Governance Foundation for Africa (EGIGFA) , the Association of African Universities (AAU), and the Internet Society Ghana Chapter (ISOC Ghana) will hold an ICANN80 Ghana Readout virtual meeting, discussing insights and key takeaways from ICANN80.

  12 Streams 2020 #11 – Strengthening the Internet 

  Today, Tuesday January 5 2021, at 7:00pm EST (00:00 UTC) in the eleventh instalment of the Internet Society Livestreaming‘s ‘12 Days of Streams‘ 2020 highlights, we feature two presentations from the fifth Intercommunity call in 2020, a ‘Special Edition’ with the theme ‘Stories of Resilience‘. In the first presentation Joseph Lorenzo Hall, Senior Vice President, Strong Internet, Internet Society reflects on the year’s progress in the Strengthening the Internet effort. In the second, Theorose Elikplim Dzineku, Chair, Programs and Communication, ISOC Ghana, relates her experience taking the ISOC Chapter Training Program encryption module, and its application in the field of journalism.

  WEBCAST TODAY: Ghana Internet Governance Forum 2019 @igfghana #ghanaigf 

  Today Thursday July 11 2019 the Ghana Ministry of Communications in collaboration with the Internet Society Ghana Chapter, is convening the 2019 Ghana IGF at the Kofi Annan ICT Center in Accra under the theme “Digital Communities: Roles and Responsibilities of Stakeholders for Sustainable Development.” The Ministry of Communications, as the sector ministry responsible for information and communication technology (ICT), is committed to developing and improving Internet access, cost and therefore encourages all stakeholders to participate in the Forum. The event will be webcast live via the Internet Society Livestream Channel 2.

  Today Wednesday 10 July 2019 the maiden edition of the Ghana Youth Internet Governance Forum congregates the youth and experts at the Kofi Annan ICT Center in Accra to discuss on the theme “The future of work; Digital Jobs and Youth Inclusion”’

  Amidst the advantages associated with emerging technologies like AI and machine learning,there are fears of machines taking over the labour force thereby rendering many qualified persons, jobless. This dialogues will engage stakeholders on gender inequalities and how to provide inclusive participation in the digital community while addressing issues that can better position the youth to prepare for the future of work.

  WEBCAST TODAY: #Ghana Internet Governance Forum #ghanaigf #igf 

  Today Thursday, 18 August 2016 the 2016 Ghana Internet Governance Forum (IGF) takes place at the the Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in IT in Accra. This year’s event has the the theme Building a StrongMulti-Stakeholder Model for a Sustainable Development of the Internet in Ghana. The Forum will discuss key issues on Internet governance in Ghana, such as cyber security, affordable access, critical internet infrastructure, data protection and openness, child safety and many other topical issues. Ghana’s position on key issues from the Ghana IGF will be articulated at the Global IGF which will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico from 6-9 December 2016. The GhanaIGF has two tracks both of which will be webcast live via YouTube, and remote participation will be available via Webex. Ghana is in the WAT time zone, same as UTC, 4 hours ahead of NYC.
