On Monday November 12 2018 the Internet Society New York Chapter (ISOC-NY) hosted the ICANN 63 NYC Readout Outreach Event at the offices of Moses & Singer LLP in NYC. Speakers, including Chris Mondini (Vice President, Global Business Engagement, ICANN), Greg Shatan (Partner, Moses & Singer and President, ISOC-NY) and Diane Plaut (EPDP Participan and GC/Chief Privacy Counsel, Corsearch) reviewed the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) 63rd public meeting – the Annual General Meeting – which took place in Barcelona from 20-25 October 2018, gave an overview of the latest developments in the management of the Internet’s names and numbering processes, including the Expedited PDP (EPDP) Working Group dealing with the impact of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the Whois system. The session was webcast live on the Internet Society’s Livestream Channel.
