On Wednesday 21 May 2026, at 13:00-14:00 EDT (17:00-18:00 UTC) the Digital Trade and Data Governance Hub at George Washington, University (GWU), and a number of partners, including TRAILS, will host a virtual workshop ‘Introduction to Responsible AI Evaluations‘.

How can we decide whether the AI we procure and deploy is effective, works for everyone, and is worthy of our trust? Evaluations may be helpful. This webinar will provide a broad overview regarding: Who should evaluate AI? How to evaluate AI? Who should be involved, and for the public sector, how can the public interest be represented and incorporated? When to evaluate? (upon procurement? Upon deployment?)
What to evaluate?

The session will explore the use of Weval – a Collective Intelligence Project (CIP) pipeline for crafting evaluations using public input – as a platform to host, view, and aggregate those evaluations.
