The Storming of the Capitol and the Future of Speech Online
On Friday January 22 2021 at 1pm-2pm PST (21:00-22:00 UTC) the Stanford Cyber Policy Center hosts a seminar ‘The Storming of the Capitol and the Future of Speech Online‘. A panel will discuss the role of social media during the Trump presidency, including the role of platform policies in fomenting or responding to the recent violence, the benefits and risks posed by steps subsequently taken, and what this means for the future of speech online.
