WEBCAST TODAY: @NSF Wireless Innovation for a Networked Society (WINS) Challenges Launch NY #nsfwins @mozilla

LivestreamToday, Saturday April 22 2017 Mozilla presents the third and final launch event for the National Science Foundation-sponsored Wireless Innovation for a Networked Society (WINS) Challenges – two U.S.-based competitions with $1 million in prize money each. The goal: support creative, open-source ideas for making the Internet more accessible, decentralized and resilient. The challenges seek prototypes and designs that either a) provide connectivity during disasters or b) connect the unconnected. This launch event will allow participants to learn more about the NSF WINS Challenges, meet others who are interested in applying, discuss other wireless projects happening in your area, and brainstorm solutions with potential teammates. It will run from 10am to 3:30pm at eBayNYC. The opening presentation will be webcast live on the Internet Society’s Livestream Channel.
