WEBCAST MAY 4 – VIRTUAL PEERING SERIES – AFRICA 9: Franchise vs Homegrown IXPs 2 | LA SÉRIE VIRTUAL PEERING – AFRIQUE 9: Franchise vs IXP locaux 2

livestreamOn Tuesday May 4 2021, at 13:00-14.30 UTC, the African IXP Association, in partnership with the Internet Society, in the ninth webinar in the Virtual Peering Series – Africa, by popular demand, present part two of ‘Franchise vs Homegrown IXPs‘.

There are many approaches to establishing and running an Internet Exchange Point today including Home-grown initiatives, Franchise deployments, “Powered by” solutions, Government mandated projects as well as Turnkey IXPs.

This session, just as the first one, aims to provide a balanced discussion on the possible benefits and the drawbacks of the different approaches to the establishment and management of IXPs, allowing the audience to draw their own conclusions on what best fits their local peering environment.
