livestreamOn Thursday-Friday October 11-12 2018 the Internet Society, the University of Alberta, the First Mile Connectivity Consortium, the Town of Inuvik, and the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation present the 2nd Indigenous Connectivity Summit (INDIGENET 2018), which focuses on ensuring Indigenous communities can connect themselves to fast, affordable and sustainable Internet. This year’s event will be held in Inuvik, Northwest Territories and highlight unique northern connectivity challenges with the theme Connecting the Last 1,000 Miles. A two-day series of panels, presentations and discussions will showcase stories of Community Networks around the globe and explore themes including community development and sustainability. INDIGENET 2018 will be webcast live on the Internet Society Livestream Channel.
